Disenchanted with the ATV shitshows that infect virtually every awesome off-grid destination, I’m going to try out a few US Forest Service campgrounds. There are lots of them. What you give up in seclusion/privacy, you gain in sanity. At least that’s what I’m hoping. I’ve booked four of them over the next couple of months inbetween RV park bookings. I’m now fully booked into the second week of October. Colorado and Utah. Definitely not Wyoming.

I’ve been thinking, lately, that Arbor Day needs to be made a national holiday with appropriate force. A Monday-off day. Seriously. I can pretty much guarantee that no one under the age of 40 – may be 50 – even knows it’s a thing at all.
