Montana for the past three or four weeks has been OK, but glad to have arrived in South Dakota. Never been before so a visit to Mount Rushmore is def on the agenda as are Deadwood and Sturgis. Still two weeks away from the Rally so Sturgis shouldn’t be too insane. I actually exited on the outskirts of Sturgis to arrive at my current location and it appeared outright placid. From the outskirts anyway.
Here’s where I’m at. It’s been eerily quiet since arriving yesterday late afternoon. As you can see, there are three other rigs in the vicinity, but not a human in sight yet. Weird, but I’m not complaining. (I did see an ATV breeze through nearby last night but it was almost like a ghost. Weird. Eerie.
Plan to be here about a week, maybe two if it doesn’t blow up leading into the Rally. From here, a hop skip jump to the Badlands where I’ll stay another week or two depending on location.
