Livingston, MT
I’ve been here nearly 2 weeks and this is my first post. Huh. I should do better. And I will. Maybe.
I last visited Livingston in the early 1990s when I stayed at the Pine Creek Store & Cabins which no longer exists. But… A client/friend of my buddy Cliff lives part time down in Sonoita, AZ and part time here, and Cliff connected us up. Mark and Angela, wonderful people, invited me to their house for dinner a week or so ago and we had a lovely evening. I mentioned that I’d been here before and stayed at the PCS&C and Mark said, “I owned that at one time.” Kinda kooky, yes? Yes.
Anyhow, I’ve been staying at an RV park that I booked all the way back before I left Cave Creek. It’s OK. Doesn’t look much like Montana, and way too much tending to the grassy areas inbetween each RV spot. Noisy riding mowers going nearly every day – maybe every day – and the sprinkler system actually woke me up last night as it intermittently power-washed the side of my rig for 20 or 30 minutes at 1 or 2 this morning.
Anyhow, I finally got it together to drive out to Yellowstone this morning. About an hour to the north entrance then I drove another 60 to 90 minutes to the Hayden Valley which was recommended for wildlife picture taking by the guard at the gate.
Too many people and not enough critters. But I did catch some buffalo which was my main goal.
Lazy
A quick video…
Leaving here Thursday for a leisurely, nearly month-long trek down to Denver. More on that later.
